The Boxer Text Editor has been licensed to customers in more than
70 countries and to dozens
of Fortune 500 companies. Our customers have used Boxer for a wide
variety of projects in many different industries. The list below is just
a small sample of the types of projects for which Boxer has been
used.
Boxer was used to write software for
Coriolis, a U.S. Navy research spacecraft
being developed by Spectrum Astro of Gilbert, AZ. Coriolis is a test
mission that will carry two Defense Department payloads: 1) Windsat, a
Navy polarimetric microwave radiometer experiment to passively measure
ocean surface wind vector; and 2) a U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory
Solar Mass Ejection Imager (SMEI) to monitor solar activity. The
spacecraft's two payloads will collect data continuously during the
three-year mission.
Anthony Farmer of Bally Gaming used Boxer to develop their EVO Platform. The EVO platform creates a powerful
environment capable of rapid game development and advanced video and
audio features.
Space Invaders for the PC was written exclusively using Boxer by
programmer Paul Reid. This program won 2nd place in the X2 FTP Site
programming contest for Best Game with Source Code. It's an
exact replica of the original Space Invaders arcade game! Grab

Don Martin, PhD, Technical Publications Editor at the
Veteran's Administration Research & Development office,
uses Boxer for all of his work, including the website he
maintains at
www.vard.org. Says Don: “Some may consider it
old-fashioned to do HTML coding with a text editor, but I
prefer knowing not only that something works, but also
why and how it works. This can only be learned
by doing it barehanded.”
Streat Instruments
has used Boxer exclusively to develop the embedded software in their line of
moisture measurement products, which are sold in 30 countries around the world.
Roger Kimball, Managing Editor of The New
Criterion magazine, uses Boxer for all his work on the magazine.
Boxer was also used for editing these books prior to publication:
Tenured Radicals, Walter Bagehot's Physics and Politics,
Against the Grain and the Future of the European Past, and Hilton
Kramer's new book The Twilight of the Intellectuals.
